There's a door on the other side of all that paper. On the inside there's a bunch of faces (of people on our floor) photoshopped to really ugly bodies, and, of course, happy birthday messages.
So they wake him up just before 8, and say "Come out, we want to talk to you." He gets up, and opens his door to the photos. Then they say "Come on, jump through it!" so he tries - crashes into the tables and chairs, and, for a nice touch, pulls down the street sign above his door, which hits him on the head. And I captured the whole thing on video =D Classic =P
Of course, that's not all they did. Last night he went out for dinner with his parents, before coming back. So a bunch of guys are having a drink or two (or fifty) in the lounge with him, when maybe 10 people grab him, one pulls out a couple of waxing strips, and they wax a couple of patches on his leg. 'twas quite funny. Eyebrows were discussed, but they thought they'd leave him with a little bit of dignity.
So, nothing much has happened since I last posted. Yesterday I programmed most of the day, before getting rather bored last night - turns out there was lots of drinking going on, but not much else.
Slept in this morning, and played in a rather pathetic Super Smash Brothers Tournament, in which 15 people showed up for or something. My floor had 7 of them. I didn't go so well - I blame my controller (of course I do =P), but yeah.. that's it =P
And so now I'm procrastinating on a Saturday afternoon. My Sudoku solver is going ok. It solves simple Sudokus, now I need to add the smash and bash functionality to solve the rest. I should finish that today somtime...
Oh, and here's a picture of the MASSIVE Slushie (or Squishee or whatever it is) cup. That's a lot of sugar and ice.

Waxing isn't really too high on my list of things to do (in fact, it doesn't feature at all :P)
Drinking age in Canada is 19, although the RAs are pretty relaxed about that. In fact, it's against the law to do any sort of drinking games.
And it's also against the law to have open alcohol in public places - which means we're allowed it in our rooms and in the lounge, but not in the hallways. Bit weird.
But yeah, the RAs do their best not to see any of it - they're our age too know it's gonna happen regardless.
Well silly me thought you tried to help people enjoy the day on their birthday. Although asking him to jump through was a clever plan :P...having said that, would you trust people who'd just papered over your door?
Maybe it's a good thing you won't be around on my next birthday*, now you've got all these ideas.
