Umm.... not really. Just been doing a lot of work.
Going back to last Tuesday... I can't remember what happened. Assignments, a midterm on Thursday which wasn't too bad, and more assignments. It's most definitely been the busiest I've been since I've got here.
This is going to be (hopefully) a fairly quick post, because it's 1am. The good news is, I get to sleep in tomorrow because my 8am lecture is cancelled =D And yeah, I said I was gonna post tonight, like I have for the past couple of days, and I've got a bit of time now.
Let's see, another prank was pulled on the dorm here. A bunch of guys went into someone's room, and put toilet paper and paper hand towel... pretty much in everything. They put it under his bed covers, in his guitar case, all over his desk, tied some to the handles of his cupboards, stuffed some in his shoes, and, my personal favourite, put some in the pockets of his jackets which were hanging in his closet. A big waste of paper, yes, but another prank I thought I'd mention (not as good as the other ones though).
Back to the work, after my midterm on Thursday, I tried to get my AI assignment finished (the Sudoku solver and the Exam scheduler). As it turns out, I need to work on my programming organisation, and planning. Lots of bashing around with code at the end, and I had to submit it late.
But AI is a weird subject. The lecturer is a very cool kinda guy (in a geeky sort of way). Has a quirky sense of humour, and keeps us entertained throughout the lecture. You can also tell that he really cares about whether we understand the stuff. Anyways, he's got this concept of a 'late day,' which is a period of up to 24 hours, during which we can hand things up late. We have 4 of these for the semester, and you can use as many as you want on one assignment.
As it turns out, all but 2 people used late days on this assignment. =P
The good news I found out today about this class, is that the questions for the midterm are going to come from a set of questions, which we are going to get =D Super score...
And now onto more about my week. Stayed up really late Friday night to finish that assignment, watched part of an Ultimate Frisbee game on Saturday afternoon (still not convinced it's a great sport, but definitely watchable - especially when you know people playing). Played some Halo before dinner, went to the Japanese restaurant for dinner ("One more Sushi" which is much classier than the name suggests), and came back to....
SUPER (Street) PUZZLE FIGHTER II TURBO HD REMIX
Not only does it have an awesome name, but it is remarkably enjoyable. The basic concept is that you have blocked, which come in pairs (kinda like Dr Mario). You try to put colours together and then detonate large chains (where blocks touch each other) by making a bomb (which drop like standard pieces) of the right colour touch the blocks. Basically a little bit like tetris, except instead of lines you get rid of pieces by colour.
It's a fighter game (using Street Fighter characters), because you play against someone, and when you get rid of blocks on your side, some appear on the other side - but these can't be used until 5 turns. The bigger your chain, the more you get.
[Yes, I'm aware of how crap that description is - I'm just too lazy to change it]
So it's a pretty addictive game. As it happened on Saturday night, we had perhaps 10 people crowded into Ryan's room coaching the two players playing at the time, and yelling random colours. We had the House Coordinator (Coralie - really funny, she's the only girl that lives in our house, and she's got a huge room, and is like a boss-like person), come in and call us "precious" for playing the game.
It was heaps of fun though.
Umm.. what else... Sunday was church, and I had lunch at this place called "The Banana Leaf" which sells really good Malaysian food. There was so much I wanted, but I settled for a Laksa in the end - I'll have to go back.
Spent today doing a graphics assignment, and a group project (we actually went backwards in our 2 hour meeting today).
And that's it. Ok, this has taken a little longer than I thought it would. Apologies for the lots of text... here's a picture I took on the way to my morning lecture a couple of weeks ago. It's getting very dark in the mornings now. Pretty soon I'm sure I'll be walking there in the darkness >.< I shall try to post again soon - if I get time.

good to know :P I'm also enlightened as to the reason I was ignored tonight *blows a huge raspberry*
I love the name of that game lol, its like woooo lets put together as many buzz words as possible!!! Cross between tetris/puzzlebubble/dynomite (from yahoogames, remember my prior addiction?) and, I dunno, any race between two players? :P Meanwhile I love all those games so I'd definitely play!!!
Yay!

I reckon I've played that game before, or at least, one very similar to it.
"One more sushi, and that's the river Jordan..."
I think Ultimate Frisbee is quite a good sport - it certainly makes for lots of fun when played on MYC as our inter-faculty event! I like the fact that it can be ridiculously confusing: the enforced sub rule, and the forced change of directions at each point, means that if you have about 10 subs per side, and no-one really knows what's happening, then chaos can arise very easily!
And most importantly, speaking of toilet paper, the Doc's MG was toilet papered a few weeks ago.
It is an awesome game. You'll know if you played it before - it's very, very Japanese, with the cutesy voices, Street Fighter noises and animations, and all that jazz.
Ultimate is a fairly good sport - it's actually fairly big around here. There are some people that can do crazy things with a frizbee too. In fact, I played in the game on Saturday, had a couple of throws (one of which was VERY pathetic), a cool block thing, but played most of the time on a guy that way too fast for me, even if I had the right shoes (I kept slipping over). I also played for about 10 seconds on a guy who was about a foot and a half taller than me (that ended after he scored =P), and we won rather convincingly. I think we were 9-0 up at one stage before dropping a few points to win about 13-6 or something.
They toilet papered it? Personal attack? or just don't like MGs? =P
Personal 'attack', yes. Did you know he's leaving?
No, I didn't realise that. Where's he going? And have they found a replacement yet?
